Sue Murray

Sue Murray
301 Cedar Avenue

Sue Murray is a fairly large pool and a very busy pool (it was really hot out - so that may have been part of the craziness).
There is lots of grass to lay out on and some shade provided by one of buildings.

The best thing for kids (and kids at heart) is that there are 3 slides here (see pictures).
Our new favorite thing is the rubberized pool coating which this pool has.
It also has a very large walk-in area at the shallow end.

No kiddie pool.
We walked there but I believe it is all street parking. It is accessible (no stairs).
It's in the park and right next to a playground.

Who are we!

We are two girls and two babies trying to go to all the city pools in Pittsburgh this summer. We were frustrated by the lack of information about the pools - do they they have a smaller kiddie pool, parking, accessibility?  We are trying to bring that information to you while we enjoy our days cooling off in the pools of Pittsburgh.

Here is a link to all the general information for the city pools (cost, times etc).

Westwood Pool

Westwood Pool
100 Guyland Street
Westwood 15205

It is a fairly busy pool with what mostly seemed like neighborhood kids and families.
It has a kiddie/baby pool.
Big pool has small walk-in steps at part of the shallow end.
There is a parking lot and it is easily accessible (no stairs).

As far as we know this is the only city pool with a concession stand.
